TOP ENGINEERING AWARD GOES TO TKW CEO

| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fort Myers, FL, August 12, 2005 – The Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) presented this year’s highly-regarded Governor A. W. Gilchrist Award to TKW Consulting Engineers CEO Trudi K. Williams at the FICE annual convention. “I am honored to receive this award, and I strongly believe in Governor Gilchrist’s vision of public service in the field of engineering,” commented Williams, who is a civil engineer and a Florida State Representative. The Gilchrist Award is presented annually to a member of the engineering profession who exemplifies the spirit of public service that betters humankind and, therefore, brings honor to the engineering profession. Albert Walter Gilchrist, for whom the award was named, was an engineer, State Legislator, and Florida’s 20 th Governor. Williams served on the South Florida Water Management Governing Board and in numerous other public roles and is recognized at the state and federal level as an expert on water management issues. She was elected to the Florida House in 2004, and was instrumental in passing legislation to create the first school of engineering in Southwest Florida. About TKW |
