| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fort Myers , FL, May 26, 2006– TKW Consulting Engineers, Inc. The most prestigious engineering award in the country will go to a Floridian this year. The National Society of Professional Engineers will present its highest honor, the 2006 Professional Engineers in Private Practice (PEPP) Award, to TKW Consulting Engineers CEO Trudi K. Williams at its annual convention in July. “I am honored to have been selected for this award. I believe that it is also a tribute to the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers and the State of Florida itself,” commented Williams, who is a civil engineer and a Florida State Representative. The National PEPP Award has not been given to a Floridian for well over 20 years. From a national pool of nominees, the award is given annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement and recognition of the role of private practice in serving the public interest. Williams was nominated by the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers after the Institute awarded her the highly regarded Governor A. W. Gilchrist Award in 2005 for her public service achievements. Williams served on the South Florida Water Management Governing Board and in numerous other public roles and is recognized at the state and federal level as an expert on water management issues. She was elected to the Florida House in 2004, and was instrumental in passing legislation to create the first school of engineering in Southwest Florida. About TKW
